    A Facilities Maintenance/Shuttle Driver at our Executive Inn serves our guests by ensuring the upkeep of the facility, guest rooms, grounds and pool in clean and working order while creating a hospitable and ‘People Pleasing’ environment. They also ensure the safe and friendly transportation of our Cracker Barrel trainees to and from our Home Offices from the hotel.

    Essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    • Ensures that hotel facilities, equipment and utilities are maintained and functioning properly according to Cracker Barrel standards
    • Maintains upkeep and daily cleaning of pool and pool area
    • Maintains grounds by mowing grass and general landscaping
    • Uses general electrical and plumbing skills to make general repairs throughout facility
    • Performs painting and carpet cleaning according to planned schedules and as needed
    • Accommodates guests by providing excellent customer service
    • Meets company standards of safety, quality, production, attendance and workplace behavior while efficiently completing daily room assignments
    • Maintains a clean and organized workspace
    • Follows Executive Inn operational policies and procedures, including those for safety and security, to ensure the safety of all associates and visitors throughout the day
    • Maintains the “Pleasing People” mission by following Cracker Barrel Rules of Conduct
    • Maintains a calm and pleasant demeanor throughout shift to ensure a positive employee/guest experience
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

    Responsibility

    • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
    • Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, weekends and/or holidays
    • Meet Executive Inn operating and hospitality policies of safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation
    • Available to perform various different tasks throughout the Executive Inn during each shift

    Qualifications

    • Be able to communicate with coworkers, managers and guests effectively
    • Possess/obtain and maintain valid Tennessee driver’s license for shuttle van and/or passenger endorsements for 23 passenger bus
    • Possess a basic understanding of pool cleaning, landscaping, electrical, plumbing, carpet cleaning, and painting
    • Stand and walk for long periods of time
    • Load, lift, carry and unload items up to a maximum of 50 pounds
    • Work at a pace consistent with changing business volume and demands
    • Ability to learn quickly
    • Ability to work in environment where tobacco smoke is present
    • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
    • Make decisions and solve problems in the interest of 100% Guest Satisfaction policy
